GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Responsible for installation, configuration, and support of Arkansas State University Mountain Home's server infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining routine server backups. Responsible for administering Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, and various other server based application administration tasks, including maintaining and configuring integrations to third party applications like Office 365. Responsible for maintaining and administering the campus VOIP phone system. Responsible for regulating access to computer data files and preventing unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure of information. Implements avoidance measures, such as logging, firewalling, activity monitors, virus scanners, or other intrusion detection methods. Assists users in the detection and recovery from security intrusions on their computer systems. Performs security audits on portions of the network as directed by the Director of Computer Services. Contacts appropriate personnel in the event of a security intrusion or policy violation. Contacts users with audit information and assists with techniques to eliminate or minimize vulnerabilities. Responsible for maintaining the Aruba Network and wireless systems. Responsible for integrations with the new Banner system. Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work Orders. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.
- Server Administration. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
- Development (scripts/programming). This duty is performed irregularly, about 10% of the time.
- System Research and evaluation. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
- Security Analyst. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.
- Network Management. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
- Banner Integrations. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Four year college degree, or equivalent experience resulting in broad knowledge of a field related to the job, such as accounting, marketing, business administration, agriculture etc, plus 5 years related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
