Job Description
Program dates are March 15, 2021 - May 6, 2021. Attendance at each class is required for program completion.
In partnership with Urban Dreams, Central Iowa HealthWorks, Des Moines Public Schools, and DMACC, Broadlawns Medical Center is proud to offer paid apprenticeship opportunities for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. The TEACH(Training and Education for Adults seeking a Career in Healthcare) program introduces adults to Broadlawns’ work culture, career paths, and Interns complete basic and advanced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training.

Qualifications
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Participants in the TEACH program are identified as having one or more significat barriers to entering the workforce. With a focus on the Broadlawns neighboring community, the majority of participants will be selected from 50314 and 50316 zip codes. These zip codes represent the areas within Des Moines that have the highest poverty and unemployment levels.
