The City of Lamar is accepting applications for an Emergency Service Communicator in the E-911 Dispatch Center.
Schedule: Graveyard 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Under general supervision is responsible for receiving all calls to Communications Center, analyzing the calls, and determining the appropriate need for response. He/she notifies law enforcement, fire, and/or ambulance personnel or requests for service and follows through on all responses. Performs work that varies somewhat but is performed within prescribed standards.
Starting Salary: $14.36 per hour.
Position will remain open until filled. This position is subject to both pre-employment and random drug testing as a condition of employment. Applicants will not be appointed to the position if a verified positive drug test is received. Contingent upon job offer, the successful applicant will be required to take a pre-employment physical, drug test and provide a current motor vehicle record.
