Maintenance Worker - Senior/Streets- Sanitation

The City of Lamar is accepting applications for a Maintenance Worker, Senior with the Streets/Sanitation Department. Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual labor in the construction, maintenance, and repair of public works, sanitation, utility operations, public buildings, and equipment; operates light and medium duty equipment and trucks up to 2 tons on a regular basis. Work is varied, requiring limited judgment within prescribed standards and procedures; adjusts work methods to meet task requirements.

Job Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of high school and two years of responsible experience in the operation of small trucks and light equipment in construction, maintenance, or related activities. Must have a commercial drivers' license (CDL)

Salary Range: $13.28 per hour to $19.10.

Custodian

The City of Lamar is accepting applications for a Custodian in the Building Maintenance Department at the Recreation Center. Under general direction applicant will clean and maintain public buildings; make minor building and equipment repairs; maintain grounds around buildings.

Starting Salary: $12.65 per hour.

Contingent upon job offer, the successful applicant will be required to take a pre-employment physical, drug test and provide a current motor vehicle record.

Operator In Training (OIT)

The City of Lamar is accepting applications for an entry-level OIT in the Lamar Water and Wastewater Department. Under the direction of a certified operator and the general supervision of the Department Superintendent, the OIT performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the operation, installation, and maintenance of the City's water and wastewater systems.

Special Requirements: The OIT must attain a class D or Small systems equivalent certification in water or wastewater within 6 months of joining the Department and must be able to acquire Class B CDL license within 6 months of hire. Will be on-call to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days per week on a rotating basis.

Salary Range: $13.28-$16.60 (Depending on experience)

Contingent upon job offer, the successful applicant will be required to take a pre-employment physical, drug test and provide a current motor vehicle record and possess a valid Colorado Driver's License. 

Utility Customer Service Representative

The City of Lamar is accepting applications for an experienced Customer Service Representative in the Lamar Water and Wastewater Department. Under general supervision, provides water/wastewater/trash removal customer services to the City's general public.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, one year experience in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of water/wastewater customer service. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Salary Range: $13.95 - $17.43 (Depending on experience)
