Public Information Specialist
Part-time Public Information Specialist at Colorado Mountain College Central Services in Glenwood Springs.
Primary Responsibility:
Has chief responsibility for monitoring and measuring results of Public Information Office, including: maintaining database to track media response to PR campaigns and press releases (monitoring clips and media coverage), and establishing and maintaining electronic and hard-copy library of newspaper clippings; makes these files available to others within the college, as requested.
Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards):
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Public Relations or related field. One year related experience, in public relations, marketing, or journalism or equivalent education and experience.
Special Skills or abilities directly applicable to the position: intermedia to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office products, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat; writing and editing skills; photography skills; passion for accuracy; demonstrated tact and discretion; news sense; ability to work on deadline; ability to work independently and as a team member; willingness and ability to learn new technical and practical skills, including computer software, to achieve advanced level of proficiency
