The Child Support Officer-Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the child support officers and support enforcement aides. This position is instrumental in ensuring the financial stability of Minnesota families, and does so under the general administrative direction of the agency, by providing leadership, coordinating and supervising the activities of employees working in the Unit in accordance with State Statutes; interpreting rules and regulations, establishing and evaluating policies, and coordinating Unit activities with other units, service areas, other County departments, and outside agencies as applicable. The position is responsible for training and evaluating staff performance, assisting the director in developing and analyzing department policies and procedures to promote operating efficiency. Responsible for enforcing current child support laws by performing paralegal functions related to the establishment and enforcement of child support orders. Prefer a 4-year degree in criminal justice, paralegal, business administration, public administration, or related field, and two years of experience as a Child Support Officer/Collections Officer or equivalent; This is a Grade 14 position with a salary range of $28.27- $32.9637.
