Paralegal/Intake Specialist
Legal Aid Service of Broward County, a not for profit law firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a paralegal in the Housing Rights Unit.
The Paralegal/Intake Specialist will provide support to the attorneys in their legal advocacy to help clients stay in their homes. The Paralegal/Intake Specialist will have primary responsibility for maintaining case files and interviewing clients. The Paralegal must be able to work effectively in a collaborative, shared decision-making environment; be passionate about the law and advocacy; and have the skill, creativity, and drive to provide clients with the highest possible level of services. Ability to travel and conduct outreach at community organizations in Broward County is required. The ideal candidate is capable of acting with substantial degrees of independence and responsibility in this professional capacity. Interest in working in social justice assisting low-income individuals, Veterans, and HIV and LGBTQ communities is required.
Bilingual is preferred but not required. Salary DOE.
