Metropolitan Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Services is the leading (and rapidly growing!) independently-owned specialty referral and emergency veterinary hospital located in Louisville, KY. We provide 24-hour emergency and specialty services for small animals in critical care, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, dentistry and dermatology with a practice limited to ophthalmology. We have an excellent team of 15+ emergency veterinarians with varying degrees of experience, including internship training, under the guidance of our critical care specialists and supported by our dedicated trained nursing staff. We offer an exciting, collegial and fulfilling work environment with flexible work schedules allowing for a focus on professional development while maintaining a balanced quality of life. Our newly expanded fully equipped 17,000+ square foot hospital provides the perfect environment for optimizing patient care and continuous learning.
We have a full in-house lab, telemetry, oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, ultrasonography, CT and MRI and much more.

Our ideal candidate is an internship trained, or equivalently experienced, emergency veterinarian that is confident in their skillset, enjoys working in a fast-paced growing environment, possesses excellent communications skills and demonstrates enthusiasm for working with clients and patients.
