Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Packard and Dierking, LLC is currently seeking an experienced paralegal / legal assistant to assist attorneys in real estate and corporate transactions and estate planning. Great small law firm environment in Boulder.
Responsibilities include:
•Commercial lease, lease amendment and lease abstract preparation;
•Title and survey review, including preparing title/survey objection letters and responses, obtainingzoning letters, working with surveyors and title officers on various survey or coverage issues andobtaining final approved surveys and title policies;
•Commercial closings - general corporate and real estate, from contract execution through post-closing:drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing timelines and closing checklists, maintaining critical dateschedules, preparing closing and transfer documents, coordinating all aspects of the closing;
•Corporate work, including entity formation, registration, drafting corporate documents, obtainingEINs, managing entity summaries and ensuring entities remain compliant;
•Estate Planning and probate administration support including drafting living wills, powers of attorneyand other ancillary documents, lodging wills with courts, setting up new cases with ICCES, preparingand filing pleadings, arranging publications for notices to creditors, and generally facilitating theprobate process; and
•Additional duties including coordinating execution of documents, miscellaneous research and duediligence projects, responding to various client requests, routine handling of correspondence, and theability to follow through on multiple projects to ensure all deadlines are met for assignedtransactions/projects.
Requirements include:
•A minimum of three years’ related experience;
•Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills; and
•An advanced level of technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and documentmanagement systems.Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Competitive salary that is commensurate with duties and experience.
