MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician person to join our team in Belleville, IL!
The ability to work safely and follow OSHA and GMP practices (LOTO, Hot Work, PPE, fall protection, arc flash, etc)
Performs routine and preventative maintenance on fabrication/enamel equipment (knowledge of turret, brake presses, laser cutting, and enamel spraying equipment a plus) in order to minimize downtime
Support installation/relocation of new/existing equipment including all utility hook ups
Plan and execute maintenance activities including defining scope, identifying the necessary parts and supplies, determining the required tools and equipment, and calculating the time required to complete the job;
Complete work orders and associated documentation timely and accurately,
Possess analytical skills and a demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical machine controls and drive systems
Experienced in basic building upkeep and maintenance of facility equipment to include carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing repairs. (air compressors, driers, HVAC, fork lifts, etc)
Experience with hand tools, power tools, multimeters/megohmmeter
Must be capable of performing various types of welding operations required for repair and installation of equipment.
Education/Training:
Must have basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics and structural maintenance
Able to read/troubleshoot electrical/pneumatic schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic
Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment; flexible with hours during the week and some weekends.
High school diploma; strong written and oral communication skills, basic computer skills, fork lift certified
3 or more years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing facility
Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance from an accredited trade school
