Water Treatment Plant Operator
The Operator is responsible for operating equipment and monitoring all processes of the water treatment plant. The operator will regulate flows and be accountable for adjusting and maintaining chemical feed rates, perform tests to assure the processes are meeting water quality standards, maintain accurate records of process data and laboratory tests and will be responsible for housekeeping of the plant facilities. The Operator will be required to work up to a maximum twelve hour shift any day of the week. Interested applicants will mail or email resumes to Soldier Canyon Water Treatment Authority.
Starting Hourly Pay Ranges
Class D Operator $20.00 - $23.00
Class C Operator $23.00 - $25.00
Class B Operator $25.00 - $29.00
Class A Operator $29.00 - $33.00
Applicant must have knowledge of water principles, techniques, and plant operating practices; maintenance of plant equipment; federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations related to water treatment; occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to detect flaws in equipment; maintain records and logs; operate a computer; operate and care for hand tools. Must have demonstrated the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; and maintain effective working relationships with other employees. Required to stand, walk reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, sit, crouch and crawl. Routinely lift, pull an/or move up to 50 pounds. A valid Colorado Driver's License is required. Applicant must have a valid Colorado Water Operator Certification.
