Operator In Training (OIT)
The City of Lamar is accepting applications for an entry-level OIT in the Lamar Water and Wastewater Department. Under the direction of a certified operator and the general supervision of the Department Superintendent, the OIT performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the operation, installation, and maintenance of the City's water and wastewater systems.
Special Requirements: The OIT must attain a class D or Small systems equivalent certification in water or wastewater within 6 months of joining the Department and must be able to acquire Class B CDL license within 6 months of hire. Will be on-call to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days per week on a rotating basis.
Salary Range: $13.28-$16.60 (Depends on Experience)
